"Everybody's had a few..."

Okay, I am in Crescent City!! Well, actually the North Shore. The dogs were very happy to see Uncle Joe. The boys' place looks great!! Here's a pic of their pool. Hoss & Dominic both get in. Dominic doesn't get far from the steps, but Hoss being fully Newf loves to toodle around the pool.

"Everybodys had a few

Now theyre talking about who knows who

Im going back to the Crescent City

Where everythings still the same

This town has said what it has to say

Now Im after that back highway

And the longest bridge Ive ever crossed over Pontchartrain"

Today is the greatest...

Today really was the greatest! It's my favorite day of 2008.

Started out with a long walk / coffee with Jody. Then came home for a bit before meeting Amy/Shalimar (aka Tiffany/Rachel) at the park. Where Dave met up with us and we met "Little Gus" and William. Two eccentric (currently transient) folks spreading the LOVE around. Then the four of us went to CCs.

Then I met Jody & Kelly for more drinking (at Smith of course before meeting up with Linda/Sterling for dinner.

Shine your light on me

Just got back from Cleveland. Got home, showered, Jeff picked me up for drinks/dinner @ Quinns and then to the studio.

Cleveland was a trip. Wish I had gotten to see more of C.Land proper. Tremont was great and so was the event.

I go to New Orleans (second time) a week from today. Visiting the boys. YEA! Plus, it's Ryan's bday and they're having a pool party.

Day in photos

I didn't realized how much I had missed having traditional weekends off. All of a sudden my days are entriely much more social. I actually get to have brunch with folks (Amy/Amy this weekend).

Fish Fry

oh, i love this picture. yann is such a sweetie. :)

it also reminds me of one of me and konrad at halloween.

Sunny Days...

Seattle hit a new record yesterday -- 90 degrees. It felt GREAT.

EVERYONE was nice and EVERYONE was happy!

I love days like that in Seattle.

As a side note: My blogging will be momentarily on hold as I go to Cleveland tomorrow for a business trip.

Sad / Happy

Sad: Tonight was Steve & Brad's last night in Seattle. They're off to Montreal tomorrow. To start a fantastic new life. Cheers.

Happy: WHAT? They finally let a full-figured woman win?! Here's to you Whitney. There have been better (Tocarra) but only you came out on top!

Pink Sidewalk

When I left my house for my morning walk to work (2.5 miles), I looked up and saw this! A lot entirely covered in pink blossoms. It must've been really windy last night. Because it was literally blanketed like a snowfall. So pretty.

(The angle is down a steep hill.)

"Prove to me that you're no fool..."

While the first person to eat oysters was crazy, (*car salesman voice*) you'd be crazy not to show up at Boat Street Cafe for oyster happy hour!
Come drink Muscadet and slurp delicious Northwest Oysters.

Smith'd out?

As my sister asked me tonight,
"Gawd, aren't you Smith'd out yet?" To which Dave (while snapping his fingers) would answer, "Listen to yourself!" a la Jerri Blank. To us, there's no such thing.

Esp. when there are ALWAYS fun people. Tonight -- it was Jamie & Whitney (and Linda and ALWAYS Douglas and Tina). It's like Cheers -- with a jukebox.

I just can't enough. And of courese, I went to CCs to pre-func. Gawd, so predictable.

up close (and scary)

Yann and I went on a mini-picnic today. And apparently these squirrels knew that picnic meant food. They're real cute -- from far away. But there downright predatory (and threatening) when they come right up. They move really fast and when they go behind you, it creates a real tension! (Ohmigawd, is it going to jump on my head, push off my sunglasses and scratch my eyes out??)

Between the bars -- indeed.

As I do my daily download of yesterday's photos, there always seems to be at least one random picture of alcohol in the group. And my dinner. I'll save you the pics of my dinner. (Okay -- you can find them here).
I guess it's not surprising as my friends and I find it most convenient to meet up outside of our homes/apts. I couldn't go a week without CCs or Smith. Last night -- after CCs -- I headed down to Smith to meet up with Kelly and her good friend, Melissa (she's get "Chelsea Handler" a lot. I see why!)

Then home for an early evening.

But before CCs, I stopped by the Frye and saw this show. WOW. It totally made me cry. Highly recommended.

Oh what a night!

Swung by the Art Walk. Then walked up to CCs and met Jeff (and Kiger) for a drink. John & Thom showed up and Jesus wept. Then moseyed on down to SMITH and met Dave for dinner & drinks. It was packed. Linda and Sterling showed up and sat down with us while they waited for friends. Super fun to chat them up. Thanks for the cocktails. :) Then Davey and I went to Laddro (I haven't been since Yann quit -- 2 years ago??). Hung outside when two absolute sweethearts (Sh*t -- Savannah and ?Ailey?) stopped by talked for about 10 minutes. Will totally bump into those two again. All in all, the perfect evening. It's nights like these (temperate) that make me forget about ever wanting to move away from Seattle). I guess the whole point of this post is that I LOVE the butter lettuce salad. Here's Dave and I subsituting the mizuna with bibb.
