Openings this week...

There seems to be an abundance of shows I want to see this week. Here are my three recommendations if you're looking for something to do.

*
Wednesday: Retail/Commercial
*
I believe this is Lead Pencil Studio's first new local installation since Maryhill Double. It's at the Rainier Square Shopping Center.

The reception is tonight from 6 - 8pm. Please bring $2 or a box of whole grain pasta or 16 oz canned tomatoes ("Jesus, you're so specific!") for a food drive for Northwest Harvest.
*
*
Thursday: We were alone then and I was singing this song for you.
*
A two person show (me plus Gretchen Bennett) at Fancy (same block as The Moore). It will be pink and white and sad and hopeful. And oh yeah, homemade cupcakes.

*
Friday: +Room-Room
*
Yann Novak and Jamie Drouin make aural magic at The Henry. The installation opens with a live performance this Friday at 6:30pm. Free for members, $5 otherwise.
*
Forgot to mention that Etsuko Ichikawa also has a great show opening up this Thursday at Davidson Galleries.
