new year's resolutions...

okay, so one of my resolutions was to sing and dance more. to that end (one of my favorite phrases), i've been joining jeff for bearaoke. last week was country and it was awesome. this week, jeff invited roy m and it was great to hang out.

today was so great. i got to hang out with marni and kristina (both from college), then met up with lisa/laila and finished the night with jeff and roy.

celebrate indeed!

You wanna be on top?

Aw, sad. hometown (well, at least Spanaway) girl Aimee blows it on the photoshoot and is sent packing. Actually, it wasn't that sad...another 'model' who won't do nudity? Then don't be a model.

But what was sad is that it is one of the final America's Next Top Model nights at Steve (nsfw) and Brad's. They move to Canada in a month or so...

Can't quit...

...listening to:

she and him
cat power's cover of Silver Stallions (album version)
jeffry lewis
the new destroyer

(thank you John!)

just sad...

As a self-avowed celebrity junkie, the latest South Park stopped me cold. After John and Thom made me watch, I've resolved to never buy (and hopefully "read") any celebrity gossip magazine again! I was raised on these -- my family has bought these as long as I've been alive.
When South Park does it right, they REALLY do it right.

50 pounds!

It's official! I've lost 50 pounds in the past 9 weeks. I think that's 5 of these of potato sacks.
Thinking about another 100 pounds, but will be happy when I lose the next 50. My goal is to lose the next 50 by June 15, which would make 100 lbs in six months.

NO MORE!

Ohmigawd, after a week of drinking like a frat-boy, my liver needs a vacation! I'm giving it until tonight at 4:30pm.

And DAMN YOU Hangar One for making such a delicious (read: expensive) vodka. And THANK YOU to CC Attles for pouring a mean-ass drink.

And, of course, to all my drinking buddies!

Morning has broken...

I usually dread daylight savings day. Losing that one hour is psychologically damaging! (Conversely, falling back is one of my favorite days of the year!) To combat that feeling this year, I woke up at 6:30 (new time, 5:30 old time), grabbed a coffee from Cupcake Royale (Hi Mandy!) and went down to Lake Washington where I listened to Jens Lekman as the sun rose.
